International Day of the Chef - KENYA

"PAMOJA TUFUNDISHE UPISHI"

Pamoja tufundishe upishi is a Kiswahili word which means (lets unit and teach cooking in our community)

The world chef day in Kenya was one the most memorable event ever done by chefs in Kenyan history at any given time. The event which attracted chefs from institutions, collages, hotels restaurants and motels saw all the country most respected chef's display their talents to the rest of the community.

The event that took place at safari park hotel started at 8 am with the basic preparation of the venue and foods. By 12 pm an amazingly large crowd of children from 10 different orphanage homes had arrived for the world chef's day celebration.

Renowned chefs like Emmon Mullan from Norfolk hotel David Lancaster from safari park and Huwler were some of personality who gave personal life experience as a chef

Foods and cloths donated during the event were distributed to all the homes who attended the event.
Kids' food competition, hygiene talk, and recruitment of junior cooks were some of the activities on the program.

World chef's day was a good ground for chefs in Kenya to meet and discuss issues that affect them as a community.
